Plant-Based Universities: Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 July 2026
These terms govern your use of act.plantbasedunis.org and related Plant-Based Universities sites ("the site"). By using the site you agree to them.
1. About us
The site is run by Plant-Based Universities, a student-led campaign network. [Legal status / contact address to be confirmed.] Email us at [hello@plantbasedunis.org] with any question about these terms.
2. What the site does
The site lets you sign petitions, RSVP to events, share campaigns with others, and contact us about starting a campaign at your university.
3. What you agree to when you sign or RSVP
- The information you submit is true and relates to you.
- You're using your own email address.
- You will not submit signatures or RSVPs on someone else's behalf without their permission.
- You will not use the site to harass, threaten, or harm others, or to submit unlawful, abusive, or misleading content.
4. Public display
Your first name, last initial, and (where shown) university role may appear on the public petition page as part of the signature count. Email, phone, and postcode are never shown publicly. Email us to be anonymised or removed.
5. Email
After signing you'll receive a confirmation email and may receive occasional updates about the campaign you signed and related Plant-Based Universities campaigns. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.
6. Content and intellectual property
Campaign text, images, and materials on the site belong to Plant-Based Universities or our contributors and are shared for non-commercial campaigning purposes. You may share petition links and our public share copy freely.
7. Availability and liability
We provide the site on a best-effort basis and make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy of signature counts (which depend on our petition and CRM platform, NationBuilder), or the outcome of any campaign. To the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always the one published here, and the consent record stored against your signature identifies the exact version you agreed to.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
