When students at the University of Graz started campaigning, the university's only canteen served meat at almost every meal. They spent nine months tabling between lectures, talking to catering staff, and gathering more than 500 signatures from students who wanted better.
In 2024 the canteen made the switch to 100% plant-based. It didn't close and it didn't lose its regulars, and it's still open and thriving today. Graz became living proof that a fully plant-based campus canteen isn't a compromise, it's an upgrade.
